  One of the reasons The Van's Restaurant has remained popular for so many years is its menu of tasty comfort food and window seats offering a great panoramic view of San Francisco Bay. The building itself is historic, erected in 1915 to house part of the Japanese Exhibition at the Panama Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco.
